This program focuses on three core skills essential to your legal practice: \n• Making effective decisions \n• Having challenging conversations \n• Maintaining civility under pressure \nOur distinguished speaker\, Michelle Greer Galloway\, has been an associate\, partner and is currently Of Counsel to the Cooley Litigation department and its IP group. Her litigation practice focuses on patent litigation and she also works with companies\, teams and individuals on leadership and management skills. Michelle is a frequent speaker at conferences and at companies combining current scientific and psychological research with practical advice and humor regarding the practice of law. \nIn addition to her practice\, she is a lecturer teaching courses in patent litigation and professional development and management skills at Stanford Law School and a lecturer at Santa Clara Law School teaching courses in patent litigation\, using expert witnesses in complex cases\, and law practice management. She served on the California Lawyers Association Litigation Section Executive Committee. She is a past chair of the ABA IP Section Ethics and Professional Responsibility Committee and was recognized with the ABA Recognition of Outstanding Leadership Contribution. She has a certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell and has taken courses related to neuroscience and leadership. Its initial aim was to connect fellow attorneys and law students with similar backgrounds and cultural interests to support their legal career development.
