CALOBA’s First Employment Law 101 Seminar

CALOBA is hosting its first employment law 101 seminar, co-sponsored by Jackson Lewis P.C. and the Silicon Valley Chinese Technology& Business Association (SVCTBA).  This seminar will provide you practical guides to deal with commonly encountered employer-employee disputes. While not client-specific, this seminar will highlight the potential clashes between common Asian corporate practices and requirements under state and federal law. The seminar will also assist you with issue-spotting basic employment issues and minimizing risks and liability for your company and employees.

Topics include:

- Hiring and Interviewing

- Basic Employment law, including FEHA, CFRA, Title VII, and the California Labor Code.

- Workplace Investigations: Do you need to do this?

- Common Mistakes and Real-Life Examples
