CALOBA invites you to our 2018 Patent Trial and Appeal Board event. Following this year’s pivotal Supreme Court decisions in SAS Institute Inc. v. Iancu and Oil States Energy Services, LLC v. Greene’s Energy Group, LLC, we’ve invited a distinguished group of panelists to discuss recent developments in the Inter Partes Review (IPR) process and other AIA proceedings and discuss insights for successfully invalidating or defending a patent before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).
Join our diverse set of panelists as they share practical IPR strategies, tips on effective advocacy before the PTAB, and insight about decision making in complex patent cases. Parties and practitioners will want to hear how these significant developments in the PTAB and the courts may impact patent practice going forward, both before the PTAB, as well as the courts handling PTAB appeals.
To accompany this very special event at the Silicon Valley U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, we are excited to introduce not only awesome food, but also a selection of some of California’s best wines from Napa, Sonoma, the Santa Cruz Mountains, and Paso Robles! Come and enjoy some of the signature varietals of each area. And if you’ve ever wondered if the growing area really makes a difference, feel free to sample different wines of the same varietal from different locations and decide for yourself! We look forward to seeing you!!
