The Career Panel for attorneys and law students with Chinese background (basically those who grew up in China thus have to overcome language and cultural barrier here) is finally happening. About 20 different panelists from big firms, small firms, in house, and in alternative career tracks will speak at this event. These are lawyers with Chinese background who have succeeded in the U.S. It is a great opportunity to learn and to network. As of noon on 3/12/2010, approximately 100 persons have registered for the event.
Time: Saturday, 3/13/2011, 11:30am - 5:00 pm. Lunch and soft drinks will be provided.
Location: Fenwick & West, Mountain View office, 801 California St., corner of Castro and California in Mountain View downtown, First Floor.

Non-members, pre-registration is $5 and drop in is $10.
Please note that we encourage pre-registration so that we can have the right amount of food and drinks prepared. We will waive fees for students or those who are in between jobs upon request.
Please use admin@caloba.org for pre-registration payment via PayPal.
Due to the number of the panelists speaking at this event, we plan to introduce them quickly so there will be more time for questions and answers. To save paper and protect the environment, CALOBA will only print a limited number of biographies and pass them around at the event, but that will not be sufficient if each attendees read them for the first time on site. Please review the biography information of the panelist of your interest before the program. In addition, not all panelist will be present for the entire duration of the event. We strongly encourage that the attendees formulate the questions and email them to Zheng (Jen) Liu atjenliu44@yahoo.com ahead of time so that we can cover as many common questions as possible during the program.
