Have you hit the ceiling at your job even though you do great work? Do you get the interview based on your credentials but not the job? Do you feel your ethnic background is not helping your career? We will discuss ways to overcome bias and to make your career more successful. We will also have interactive workshops during which volunteers (including law firm partners) play skits showcasing a range of professional and social skills desired in various settings.

Panelists:
· Jennifer Merriman, Senior Consultant, Courtroom Analytics. She has a BA from Dartmouth College in Psychology, and has done graduate work in Clinical Psychology at Indiana University Bloomington.
· Susan Tien, President & CEO, Susan Tien Search, Inc. Susan has an AB from Harvard College in Organizational Psychology and a JD from University of Pennsylvania Law. She is a frequent speaker on career and APA matters.
· Zheng (Jen) Liu, Of Counsel, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. She has a background in Physics/Cell Biology from University of Science and Technology of China, MS in Molecular Biology from Ohio State University, and JD from UC Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall). She is a frequent speaker in the Bay Area Chinese professional community on career development matters.
· Yu (Sandy) Yao, Associate, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. She has a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Tsinghua University, MS and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and JD from Stanford Law School.
